I use the embedded browser when looking only at certain feeds. But when I click on links within an article, I always want those links to appear/open in my default browser.

No, currently used external

No, currently used external browser for view videos because QuiteRSS crash randomly. I found Firefox + Video Assitant plugin + SMPlayer best option.

If QuiteRSS not crash with videos, i used it!

No, exclusively using

No, exclusively using external browser. The internal browser runs fine for me, it's just not as feature rich as a standalone browser. It would be great if the "full" internal browser could be turned off, leaving only the "minimal" browser to preview the feed post.

Hi,

Hi,

in contrast to the other posters, I absolutely do use the internal browser. Actually, it is the reason I use QuiteRSS (and I tried many RSS readers before, like Liferea, FeedReader). And I do like it a lot, thank you very much for your great work!

The reason is, many sites deliver just small snippets via RSS which is annoying. For these sites I use the embedded browser. Thanks to the adblocker most of the times that works very well (especially since one can deactivate javascript & pictures as the feed 'needs'). To my mind that is simply more convenient, because one actually uses RSS as a simple and fast clean newsreader, instead of the website.

It would be cool however, if there would be the possibility to change the user agent of the internal browser (e.g. to switch to a 'mobile device', very often that gives faster, less bloated websites). Or any other way (Greasemonkey?) to extract just the info and get rid of the navigation, ads etc. of the sites.

Kind of old topic, but... Yes

Kind of old topic, but... Yes I use the internal browser, with javascript disabled as I find some sights cause problems resulting in QuiteRSS to abort. If there is something of the page blocked because javascript is disabled, I just open it in my external browser, Firefox.

A good idea, you will have to think
