QuiteRSS crashing

Pavel

Hi,

for an unknown reason, the application crashes almost regularly when updating all feeds and e.g. making the application active from a system icon tray. Sometimes it crashes also under other conditions (from its own). The error message is from Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library:

"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

No idea what is going on here. My computer is newly reinstalled with Windows 7, 64bit, all system updates installed. QuiteRSS version 0.18.10, build 3773 (portable version).

Best regards,
Pavel

Hi Sheldon,

Hi Sheldon,

I have already downloaded this version on May 14, 2018 and I have installed it. So now I have version

Version 0.18.10 (16.04.2018), Revision 3773, Includes: Qt-5.9.5, SQLite-3.23.1, WebKit-602.1

which is probably the latest. I have upacked it and copied the "feeds.db" and "QuiteRss.ini" file into the new QuiteRSS version directory. The bug just repeats as it happened before. Thank you for your help.

Best regards,
Pavel

Send debug.log

Hi,

Hi,

I have noticed this problem approximately from version 0.18.6, but I am not sure. I have tried previously the version 0.18.10, where it appeared too. The debug log can be found at
http://szedme.wz.cz/data/bugreports/debug.log
I hope it can help you.

In my QuiteRSS profile, I have more than 200 thousand messages and the feeds.db filesize is about 1246 MB. Could this be an issue?

Normally, the error appears, when I let all my feeds update, minimize the application to the tray and then after opening the application from the system tray, the error appears withing a minute. I have tried both QuiteRSS-0.18.10 and QuiteRSS-0.18.10.3773 version with just importing the feeds and no error occured after short testing, so it may be that my database or settings may be somehow corrupt... ?

Thank you for your help.

Pavel
