Hi,
if I set the options
- Automatically mark identical news as read
- Chenge behaviour of action "Next Unread News"
under
Tools -> Options -> Feeds-> Reading
all new unread news are set to read not only the duplicates.
As you told me this should be the way to mark duplicates as read there seems to be a bug in this.
I would expect the following behaviour
- A news without duplicates should be marked as unread
- If there are duplicates for a news at least one should be marked as unread
Please have a look!
Kind regards,
Sheldon
Please have a look at it. This is really annoying!
Unfortunately you didn't reply so far!
The problem remains.
How do you identify identical news to flag them as "read"?
The option "Automatically mark identical news as read" work as follows: if the title of incoming news is found in local base it will be added to base and will be marked "not new" and "read"
But how is it possible that an incoming news without any duplicate in the database is set to "read" automatically?
From your description this should not be possible. But this is exactly what happens in my case.
By the way. I expect it to be a databse issue. I had a look at table "news" and found about 260000 records in status deleted = 2.
Don't you delete the rows physically?
After I ran a vacuum command on the database it didn't happen during the next feed update.
No idea? This is really a problem! Something is going wrong there.
