Read vs Unread Font

Can I change the unread title font to bold, or the read tile font to non-bold?  I want the font weight for read and unread titles to be the same.

Sheldon
Hi,

Hi,

unfortunately this is not possible.

Honestly I don't think this is really a good idea because you would no longer be able to visually distinguish between read and unread news.

Kind regards,

Sheldon

Hi Sheldon, Thanks very much

Hi Sheldon, Thanks very much for the reply!

Unread titles are blue and read titles are black so it's easy for me to distnguish them. I want them to be the same font because it's difficult to see if the titles are duplicates.  I have the options "Automatically mark identical news as read" and "Automatically delete duplicate news" checked, but duplicates still seem to sneek past the filters and show up unread and not deleted. If the font weights were the same it would be easier to detect duplicates visually.

How would that help detecting

How would that help detecting duplicates?

Are these 3 lines the same

Are these 3 lines the same text? The third one is the same as the first two, but not obvious at first glance because the bolding makes the line lengths different.

This is a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very long line of text. I love QuiteRSS!

after monitoring your feed

After monitoring your feed and a database analysis
I come to the conclusion that there were no duplicates
(same title, url and description) since 2019-10-14.

How are you able to see my

How are you able to see my feed and database? Is QuiteRSS sending them to your servers?

If the news entries aren't true duplicates because the url or description are different, then it becomes even more important and useful to set the same weight on the title font to visualy diff as in the example I showed earlier.

But you could send me the feed url if you like.
