Hello,
some months ago firefox cutted the option to show rss url from the menu bar.
my way to add rss feed to quite rss was always:
open feed link in browser - manually copy link - manually past in quite rss.
thats not possible anymore in this way.
how can i get the rss link for put in quite rss?
thanks for your help.
regards thomas
Hi,
instead of opening the link you can just use the right click menu option "Copy link address" in Firefox.
Afterwards you can paste it into QuiteRSS.
Kind regards,
Sheldon
hi sheldon, thanks for your answer.
the problem is that firefox shows the normal url link and i dont find a way to find the rss url.
for example this page:
https://www.deutschlandfunk.de/forschung-aktuell.675.de.html
if i click rss icon than open file window opens. how can i get the link for adding in quite rss?
If you perform a right click on
MediathekPodcastRSS
and use the copy link address option you get the link.
https://www.deutschlandfunk.de/forschung-aktuell.675.de.rss
many thanks sheldon.
sorry for this easy question;-)
The question isn't that easy, a lot of sites don't have an Rss Button on the site but the link is there in the page code.
I used to use the awesomerss plugin to get back the rss symbol in the address bar, but it doesn't have the preview function Firefox removed with version 64.
However rsspreview https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/rsspreview/ basically does the same thing and has the preview option so now I'm using this one.
thats very helpful. thank you hman!
