I'd like to have my feeds, history, and configuration stored and encrypted in the cloud (ie. google drive, dropbox, onedrive, etc).
This would serve:
(1) Synced between devices
(2) Backup
Hi,
just store the files
feed.db (holds data and filters)
QuiteRss.ini (holds the settings)
in your cloud.
Kind regards,
Sheldon
If I am on a Mac computer, what can I do?
Thanks!
Alex
regarding the sync it's the same.
Ok, but in this case, where are the files mentioned? I do not see them in the application folder?
thanks...
Unfortunately I don't have a Mac to check. Did you perform a search for this files on your whole Mac?
@funcy-dcm:
How are the files organized there? Please help!
I obviously searched these files in my Mac computer. The names of these files do not exist on Mac.
Let's wait for the response from funcy-dcm.

Hi
It would be nice to be able to change the folder where the database is stored. Thanks VT
I take it that you could use symbolic links to point to the files on cloud storage?
Slothy
Hi all,
Just to confirm that using symbolic links with dropbox does work, I now have three windows machines all syncing their data.
You have to create two links (I created hard links as they are file references) from the following
DB File : C:\users\<username>\appdata\local\quiterss\quiterss\feeds.db ==> c:\users\<username>\dropbox\quiterss\feeds.db
Settings File : C:\users\<username>\appdata\Roaming\quiterss\quiterss.ini ==> c:\users\<username>\dropbox\quiterss\quiterss.ini
Just remember to move the files to the new location first (after closing QuiteRSS First)
I also used the free tool Windows Symbolic link maker to make my life easier - https://sourceforge.net/projects/windowssymbolic/?source=directory
Hope that helps.
I'm always looking for information for syncing on Mac.
We do not find the same file names (quiterss.ini & feeds.db).
The creator of the Mac version should be able to help us?
Thank you ...
