Undo command? re: sorting

I accidentally clicked  FEEDS / Sort by Name and now all the titles of the groups

are alphabetical.

I would rather that they were grouped  Not Sorted by Name as I had them before the "Sort"

Is there an undo feature?

Is there an easier way to regroup them other than "dragging"?

Could I use a text editor for mass changes in the OPML database?

==========

And I have been having a little trouble with items sorted by date showing up out of order

by a day or two.  If I Sort By Received, I get a better order.

But, at the moment, turning on the little box with two legs |=| on the side of the items

display puts up Received column, but it doesn't stay when I re-open the feed to see

the titles in a time order.

Yes, I see that my QuiteRSS

Yes, I see that my QuiteRSS has a safe back-up directory and that an  QuiteRSSFeeds-DATE.opml file is in my previous order.

I should update the OPML file more often. I have a file from 07 November 2017.  Good enough.

And a Folder in which some feeds were put is in a "dividing line" type comment

        <outline text="Linux">

and then

            <outline text="Linux Voice" type="rss" htmlUrl="https://www.linuxvoice.com" xmlUrl="https://www.linuxvoice.com/feed/"/>
            <outline text="openSUSE News" type="rss" htmlUrl="https://news.opensuse.org" xmlUrl="https://news.opensuse.org/feed/"/>
etc.

But Is there an undo? for FEEDS/Sort by Name? Seems dangerous to make such a change when it might not be what the user wants.

Hi,

Hi,

unfortunately there is currently no such undo functionality.

i recommend sorting news by received date because the published date can differ depending on the corresponding time zone.

Kind regards,

Sheldon

        Yes, but do people see the Received column?

        To make the single line Title, Author,Published,Category show up I must have

        taken (Ctrl+e Properties | Columns |Remove  Received)  Received column

        some time ago.

        Out of sight, out of mind.

        I wish the old OPML file, in the order I had the feeds would restore the order.

        In its place, I am pulling and pushing the left-hand column of feeds around

        and grouping some under better Subject Folders.

        Maybe I will have extra inside Folders   Main_Subject >Sub_Subject to get

        a Don't-Sort arrangement, that suddenly puts top of the list feeds down into

       the lower 30.

       And then there is the option of Ctrl+E Properties and _rename_ the Titles  of

       the feeds using !, 1-100,A-Z to get my desired order.

       So !-News ( Bang or "!" exclamation is the smallest value of a visible Unicode/Ascii

       character, before the digit 1 (one),

       Then !-QuiteRss, 2-news, A2-News, A45-News, to Z-News,

       Any sort, with a bit of preparation, would keep the sort order

To make the column retrieved

To make the column retrieved date appear in the new panel please go to

Right click on the feed -> Properties (Ctrl+E) -> Columns,

select the entry "Retrieved" and move it close to the top of the list using the "Move Up" button.
This works for folders and all it's included feeds as well.

I recommend backing up the files feeds.db and QuiteRSS.ini on a regular base to prevent such problems
in the future.
