I have a feed I'm trying filter. Here's what a post I'm trying to mark Read looks like:
On the right of the subheading is a series of tags, which I think are called Comments. I enter "Smoke" in the filter, which is part of the tag, "Smoke Room", and no matter what I set it to - author, title, description, etc - the post is not hit. I've also tried it with the full Smoke Room, with and without quotes.
It is possible to hit these tags?
Thanks.
Trying to get the image to show. It's hosted on imgur.com
Sorry, don't know how to post image. Forum won't let me edit posts either.
Maybe this url will work:
Hi,
please provide the feed url.
Kind regards,
Sheldon
Hi,
The feed is at http://dailycaller.com/feed
Thanks.
If you select the search option "Find in News" and search for "Smoke" you find 2 news.
Ok. I thought I covered that base, but just tried again. First, I set up the filter for this feed as such (using external links because I could not succeed in posting pics here):

Then I pulled news. The post showing as Unread should have been marked Read based on the "affiliates" tag, which is in my filter (though the whole word doesn't show, it's there):

So I don't know what's wrong. I'm on QRSS 2.55 on Linux.
Unfortunately currently the news rule doesn't include the comment.
So you need to use the filter in the news panel.
Filter rules: Category - Contains - "Smoke".
After the title of the news, the author is displayed, a link to comments and categories
Thanks! I tested it and it works.
Honestly it's a bit confusing!
That is working fine, even without quotes. I think Category is the one thing I hadn't tried. Wasn't sure what it was.
Thanks much!
PS: If possible, devs, a larger text box for the search expression would be welcome. Thanks again.
