honestly I never tried that but normally there should not be an issue with multiple installations.on one machine.
But I would recommand to use the portable version.in your case. With that you can have as many seperate QuiteRSS installations on one machine as you like.
Alternatively if you explain a bit more detailed what you try to achieve we can maybe figure out a solution with one installation. This might be more convenient.

Hello.
I need 1 folder to only show me those articles in a feed that has the star-mark.
and the rest of the folders to show me those that are unread.
- Just switch the pre-defined news filters.
Then I have to switch back and forth every time I got to a new folder, unless I can change it in each folder, which I haven't figured out how to.
You can use the "Show Unread or Starred" filter.
I hadn't noticed that.
I don't suppose it would be possible to add the possibility of having a "do not contain" in the "Regular Expressions" ?
If you want to exclude the phrase WORD you can use this regular expression.
^(?:(?!WORD).)*$
