Hi,
I would like to make a suggestion about the fedd clean up options like
- Maximum age of news to keep in days
- Maximum number of news to keep
So far they can be defined under
Tools - Options - Feeds
for all feeds in general.
It would be an improvement if this could be defined for every feed individually in the feed properties f.e..
For some feeds you would like to keep the news longer than for others.
What do you think about this idea? Is this possible?
Kind regards,
Sheldon
In the future we plan to implement:

https://code.google.com/p/quite-rss/issues/detail?id=506
Ah, I see! That's great news! Thanks!
Any news regarding this issue? The implementation would be very helpful!
Six months later, when I have time. This feature is yet not interest me.
Ok! I will come back to you later regarding this issue!
Hi!
My feed.db have about 350Mb. Afteter cleaning up, it is have about 80Mb. But... there is an inconvenient - after first feeds update, there appear a lot of new feeds, old one, and the database again have first dimension size (~350Mb).
Is it possible not to load old news feed, after database clean up?
Thanks a lot!
Try this command from the prompt in the db dir after the clean up. But quit QuiteRSS first !!!
sqlite3 feeds.db "VACUUM;"
You may need to get sqlite3.exe first.

Just give me an update. Would be nice!
Kind regards
Sheldon
Hi Sheldon,
Unfortunately, I now do not even have enough time to solve the current problems
I completely understand that there are more urgent issues than this but at some time we should come to a concrete solution.
Do you have any idea when it can be done? Please not another six months!

I noticed in the Filter menu there is a feature to delete news. But the missing filter to make it work is the published date.
Can that be easily added as a filter?
